In my travels around the internet, I recently came across this stunning Scandi inspired living room. It has all the clean bright lines of Scandinavian design but I loved the eclectic accessories that pulled together a simple but inspired space.
I decided today to try and recreate the look with our Jackson sofa which comes in 7 gorgeous neutrals – from the deep grey of Graphite to the softly shaded Cloud. In this instance, I used the Linen colourway which creates a wonderful backdrop in a soft textual fabric to offset any pops of colour.
Yellow is gaining in popularity this Spring as a must-have accent colour and using it will certainly bring a bit of sunshine into any space. Here, it’s used in just a couple of instances – enough to add some fun and colour to a predominately neutral space.
The bold graphic rug sets the colour scheme for this airy open living room without overpowering it and adding another pattern by way of a subtle feature wallpaper ensures the room has a welcoming feel, perfect for relaxing in front of the television or entertaining friends. While the stool shown here is likely a vintage find, you can add some texture by way of a knitted pouf – perfect for extra seating or somewhere to prop up your feet!
So here’s how I recreated the look…
Jackson sofa in Linen / wallpaper / pendant light / ladder bookshelf / gramophone art print / record art print / leather strap mirror / linen buttoned cushion / yellow velvet cushion / striped cushion / typewriter cushion / rug / black knitted pouf / coffee table / wicker storage / candlestick (for similar, try eBay).
Is this a look you’d create in your home? How would you style our Jackson sofa? I’d love to hear from you in the comments!
